Sunrise Avenue is a Finnish rock quintet. Their style varies from hard, dynamic rock songs (e.g. "Forever Yours") to melodic rock ballads like "Heal Me".Sunrise Avenue was formed in Helsinki in 2002. From then on they haven't let the chances slip to play live and thus have been able to set up in business as a liveband in many clubs all over Finland.
In Germany the album was released two weeks after the single "Fairytale Gone Bad" (25th August 2006). In the same time the band played their first gigs in Germany - in Cologne's Underground Club on 23rd and at The Dome (Germany's biggest musical tv-event) on 25th of August.
On the 20th of October 2006, Sunrise Avenue received GOLD with their debut album "On the Way to Wonderland" in Finland. Moreover, on January 19th 2007, the band won four categories at NRJ Radio Awards (the biggest Nordic radio gala) for the best Finnish newcomer, the best Finnish song (Fairytale Gone Bad), the best Finnish album (On The Way To Wonderland) and the best Nordic artist. Yep, memang lagu ini aslinya dirilis udah rada lama, sejak agustus 2006 lalu, tapi itu di finland lo.. negara asal mereka. Di Eropa label mereka EMI baru merilis album "on the Way to Wonderland" pada bulan Februari 2007 ini, dan single resminya adalah "Fairytale Gone Bad".
Dengerin lagu yang satu ini bikin kita langsung dapet beatnya, liriknya bener-bener mudah diinget ! Mereka juga udah dapet beberapa penghargaan di eropa, karena lagu ini ! Makanya gak salah kalo kita pilih sebagai pendatang baru tertinggi di Top 37 kan ? (id)
