DC is Dashboard Confessional

Dashboard Confessional ato yang lebih enak disebut DC awalnya adalah side project dari vokalis band Further Seems Forever, Chris Carrabba. Nama Dashboard Confessional sendiri diambil dari salah satu lagunya yang berjudul The Sharp Hint of New Tears. Dan akhirnya pada tahun 1999, DC resmi berdiri.

Pada album debutnya, Chris bermain bersama Jolie Lindholm untuk berkolaborasi dalam album yang diberi judul The Swiss Army Romance (2000). Akhirnya band ini pun menjadi solid dengan formasi Chris Carraba (gitar vokal), John Lefler (gitar), Scott Schoenbeck (bass), dan Mike Marsh (drum).
Dengan formasi ini, DC terus membuat banyak lagu dan album, The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most (2001), MTV Unplugged 2.0 (2002), A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar (2003) Dusk And Summer (2006) mendapat penghargaan dari RIAA. Selain itu, lagu lagunya banyak dijadikan original soundtrack, seperti Vindicated (Ost. Spiderman 2) dan As Lover Go (Ost Shrek 2) and so many more...

Dan tahun ini DC kembali merilis album yang diberi judul The Shade Of Poison Trees (2007) yang lebih dulu diperkenalkan dengan single Stolen.
